PERIČNIK - In the Vrata Valley on the way towards Aljažev Dom, you can hear the roaring of the Peričnik, one of the mightiest Slovenian waterfalls, after approximately four kilometres out of Mojstrana. The visitors are astounded by the foaming 52-meter high Lower Peričnik. Some visitors believe the waterfall is at its best in the wintertime when it is iced and also lit at night in the New Year’s time.
MAHOVI - Under Špik on the way towards Ingot, we are always charmed by the spring Pri Mrzlih Vodah or Mahovi (Moss), as the locals call it. In the dry period, you can hear water only in the underground, while on the surface you can only observe lush moss. After the rainfall, the spring gets its old image again which justifies its name – water flows over green moss.
